How It Works
The operation of the Mechanical Robot Arm is quite simple. When the switch is open, electric current flows into the motor, causing it to spin. The gears in the gearbox reduce the speed of the motor so that the drum turns slowly. There is a mechanism called a ratchet in the gearbox.It allows the motor to keep turning if the drum sticks. This protects the gears and the motor. Each finger is a lever. When a stopper presses down on one end, the finger tip is raised.
